Personality: The best word to describe Ruby is wary. Her 'condition' leaves her feeling very isolated, and unfortunately it also leaves her feeling very horny. Because of this she dances, tensions exhausted without her suffering the concequences of her wild side unleashed. The isolation she feels is self inflicted; often she is abrupt, rude or ignores those that try to make contact. She tells herself that she is trying to protect them, but deep down she is addicted to how much emotional liberty her 'condition' provides.

History: Ruby grew up in a typical middle american family. She was the oldest of four children, a cheerleader, a piano player and in the popular group at school. Everyone liked her and the only stresses she had was arguing her weekend curfew and making sure she stayed the apex of the pyramid. After highschool she went on spring break with her girlfriends, but on the way they hit what they thought was a dog. In the attack that followed, only Ruby and her friend Samantha survived.

The girls returned home and eventually the media frenzy died down. Ruby watched as Samantha spun stories of rabid dogs and bears, but inside she could feel herself changing. When the neighbourhood pets began to dissapear, Ruby suspected Samantha, but could not fully account for her own wherabouts at night. She grew fearful and shied away from her family. One night Ruby left the house furious after her father and mother had tried to confront her on her behaviour. While fuming in the park, she ran into Samantha. They argued, Samantha hurling accusations. Ruby watched in horror as Samantha transformed in front of her. Before the beast could tear her apart bullets ripped through the air and what was once her friend was taken down by the local sheriff.

The town was shaken by the incident. Ruby was questioned again and again by the police. She could feel her own transformation was coming. Stealing her fathers car, she took off. Finding herself on the same road where she was first attacked she veered off the road and smashed into the undergrowth. In the crumpled shell of the car she finally changed. As she tore free of the wreckage, she was attacked from behind.

When she finally came too, she was back in her human form, broken and bleeding. Beside her in the forest clearing was the half eaten corpse of the original creature that had infected her, killed her friends and destroyed her life.

After that day, Ruby never transformed again. However she was left with remenants of her 'condition'; accelerated healing, excellent night vision, increased strength among other less appealing side effects. She now lives in Las Vegas as a pole dancer in one of the more prestigious clubs on the strip.
